Creative Arts TherapyTake the time to focus on your wellbeing through creative arts-based therapy. Sessions start with a conversation about what's going on for you and what's important to you - maybe there's a theme or topic that you'd like to focus on. Together, we would then 'inquire' or investigate into your topic a little - it may about mental health, relationships, emotional patterns and behaviours, or changes in life. If you're not sure, that's OK too.
We could use a selection of activities and prompts, such drawing, body movement, painting, sculpting or photography to look into it. Often, these sessions can bring clarity, or confirmation, or a different view on things. It's not so much about having a finished artwork, but more about the personal process of your expression. |
Arts MentoringIn these sessions, you are given the space and opportunity to explore your creative curiosities and experiment with a variety of media. Often, we don't give ourselves enough permission to enjoy creativity, either because there are more pressing things in life to attend to, or we don't think we're creative or talented enough, or we've been trained to believe that creativity isn't important (unless it's practical or has a beautiful result).
If you're looking to develop a creative practice or return to being an artist (even childhood or youth), then you will have all the permission you need right here with a visual artist supporting you. NDISIf your funds are Plan Managed and you have an allowance for Therapeutic Supports, then we can work together in individual sessions. You can choose Creative Arts Therapy or Arts Mentoring as both approaches have wellbeing benefits. Past participants have reported feeling calmer, focused and enjoyment of free expression.
Together, we will make a tailored art therapy plan that is based on your interests and supports your NDIS goals. |

Community Arts ProjectsArt and creative expression are effective tools to safely communicate key messages in the community. Past projects have included masked portrait painting in mental health services, shadow boxes in women's services and a mural in a residential emergency accommodation setting. If you have an idea, then send it in to get a conversation going.
